Happy to announce that we will be playing all of the postponed dates with @vnvnation next month! As a result, we’ve had to reschedule a few of our headlining shows for later this year and early next year, sorry, sorry, sorry!! (cause we’re Canadians) . See below for details!
Our show in Barcelona is now April 19, 2024 and Madrid is now April 20, 2024. The May 5/6 shows will still happen with She Pleasures HerSelf replacing us as support for Selofan. Our return to Paris is now August 29, 2023. Oberhausen is now August 31, 2023. Bielefeld’s new date will be confirmed shortly. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

Mit ihren gefühlvollen Melodien, treibenden Rhythmen, kantigen Gitarren und düsteren cineastischen Elektroniken TRAITRS haben sich schnell zu einer der am schnellsten aufstrebenden unabhängigen Bands des modernen Post-Punk entwickelt.
TRAITRS, bestehend aus Sean-Patrick Nolan und Shawn Tucker, wurde im Sommer 2015 gegründet
Toronto, Ontario, Kanada. Das Duo nahm Demos mit dem Produzenten/Ingenieur Josh Korody (Nailbiter, F*cked Up, Japandroids, Dilly Dally) erregten die Aufmerksamkeit von Pleasence Records Labelchef James Lindsay und veröffentlichten im April 2016 ihre Debütkassette Rites And Ritual
europäischen und nordamerikanischen Dark-Music-Szenen veröffentlichten TRAITRS ihre von der Kritik gefeierte LP Butcher’s Coin (Pleasence Records, Manic Depression Records, Alchera Visions) im Mai 2018. Unterstützt
Durch die Stärke der Lead-Single „Thin Flesh“ begab sich das Duo auf eine Reihe von langen Tourneen in Übersee, trat in über einem Dutzend Ländern auf, darunter Showcases beim Wave Gothic Treffen, Castle Party, Extramuralhas, Nocturnal Culture Night, Wavefest, Canadian Music Week und Pop! Montréal. Ihr Unermüdlicher Tourplan und Arbeitsmoral erregten die Aufmerksamkeit des Schubert Musikverlags Thomas Thyssen und Eric Burton, und im Oktober 2020 gaben sie TRAITRS als erste Unterzeichnung bekannt ihr brandneues Plattenlabel Freakwave Records. In diesem Jahr wird TRAITRS „The Sick, Tired And Ill‘ EP am 30. Juli 2021 und die LP ‚Horses In The Abattoir‘ in voller Länge am 19. November 2021.

With their emotive melodies, propulsive rhythms, angular guitars and dark cinematic electronics,
TRAITRS have quickly become one of modern post-punk’s fastest rising independent bands.
Consisting of Sean-Patrick Nolan and Shawn Tucker, TRAITRS formed during the summer of 2015 in
Toronto, Ontario Canada. The duo recorded demos with producer/engineer Josh Korody (Nailbiter,
F*cked Up, Japandroids, Dilly Dally), garnered the attention of Pleasence Records label head James
Lindsay and released their debut cassette Rites And Ritual in April 2016. After gaining buzz in the
European and North American dark music scenes, TRAITRS released their critically acclaimed LP
Butcher’s Coin (Pleasence Records, Manic Depression Records, Alchera Visions) in May 2018. Backed
by the strength of lead single ‘Thin Flesh’, the duo embarked on a series of lengthy tours overseas,
performed in over a dozen countries including showcases at Wave Gothic Treffen, Castle Party,
Extramuralhas, Nocturnal Culture Night, Wavefest, Canadian Music Week and Pop! Montreal. Their
relentless touring schedule and work ethic caught the attention of Schubert Music Publishing’s
Thomas Thyssen and Eric Burton, and in October 2020 they announced TRAITRS as the first signing to
their brand-new record label Freakwave Records. This year, TRAITRS will release ‘The Sick, Tired And
Ill’ EP on 30 July 2021 and the full-length LP ‘Horses In The Abattoir’ on 19 November 2021.
