Suicide Commando
Seit nun fast 40 Jahren stehen Suicide Commando nicht nur als Pioniere des härteren Electro-Genres, sondern sie bleiben bis heute ungebrochene Innovatoren. Gegründet im Sommer 1986 von Johan van Roy, machte sich die Band zunächst durch eine Reihe selbstveröffentlichter Kassetten von den späten Achtzigern bis in die frühen Neunziger einen Namen. Mit der Veröffentlichung ihres ersten Full-Length-Albums “Critical Stage” im Jahr 1994 entwickelte sich die Gruppe schnell zu einem der populärsten und einflussreichsten Acts der Szene. Auf diesem wie auch auf allen folgenden Releases erforscht Van Roy die dunkle Seite der Menschheit – mit treibenden Beats, bedrohlich-atmosphärischen Electronics und einem süchtig machenden, psychotischen und zugleich unerbittlich aggressiven Gesangsstil.

Mit zeitlosen Clubhits wie dem bahnbrechenden “See You in Hell”, “B.T.K”, “Die Motherfucker Die” und “Hellraiser” sowie einer beeindruckenden Reihe erfolgreicher Alben – von Klassikern wie “Mindstrip”, “Axis of Evil”, “Bind, Torture, Kill” und “Implements of Hell” über “When Evil Speaks” und das 2017er-Meisterwerk “Forest of the Impaled” bis hin zum 2022-Album “Goddestruktor”, das es sogar auf Platz 9 der offiziellen deutschen Albumcharts schaffte – bleiben Suicide Commando auch im Jahr 2025 genreprägend und entwickeln dabei stets ihren ganz eigenen Markensound synthetisch erzeugten Wahnsinns weiter.

Sie sind regelmäßige Gäste auf den größten szenerelevanten Festivals weltweit und bekannt für ihre energiegeladenen Live-Auftritte. Mit einer stetig wachsenden, fanatisch treuen Fangemeinde im Rücken gehören Suicide Commando auch heute noch zu den beliebtesten Live-Acts der gesamten Szene.

Im Jahr 2026 feiert die Band ihr 40-jähriges Jubiläum mit einer Reihe exklusiver Live-Shows und neuer Veröffentlichungen.

Going strong for almost 40 years now, Suicide Commando have not only been pioneers of the harder Electro genre, but they also continue to be innovators to this very day. Formed in the summer of 1986 by Johan van Roy, the band made a name for itself through a series of self-released tapes from the late eighties to the early nineties. When the group released its first full-length CD “Critical Stage” in 1994, it soon evolved into one of the most popular and important acts of the scene. On this and all subsequent releases, Van Roy explores the dark side of humanity with lashing beats, haunting atmospheric electronics, and an addictively psychotic yet relentlessly aggressive vocal style.

With eternal club hits such as the seminal “See You in Hell”, “B.T.K.”, “Die Motherfucker Die”, and “Hellraiser”, as well as an impressive roster of successful album releases—from classics like “Mindstrip”, “Axis of Evil”, “Bind, Torture, Kill”, and “Implements of Hell” to “When Evil Speaks”, the 2017 masterpiece “Forest of the Impaled”, and the 2022 album “Goddestruktor”, which even reached number 9 on the official German album charts—Suicide Commando in 2025 continue to be genre-defining while always evolving their very own trademark sound of synthetically induced mayhem.

They are regular guests at the biggest scene-related festivals around the world and are renowned for their energetic stage performances. With an ever-growing, rabid fan base behind them, Suicide Commando remain one of the most popular live acts of the entire scene.

In 2026, the band will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a series of exclusive live shows and new releases.
